Install the Smartcric APK on your Android phone
Smartcric is not in the Play Store, so you install the APK file directly from this page. It takes about two minutes.
Most people should add Smartcric to their home screen instead — no download, no permissions, about 30 seconds.
Use this page if that did not work, or if you want the APK file.

1Download the app
Tap the orange button above.
Chrome will warn you that this type of file can harm your device. You will see this message for any app that does not come from the Play Store. Tap Download anyway.
2Open the file
When the download finishes, tap Open in the notification at the top of your screen.
If the notification has already gone, open your Files or Downloads app and tap smartcric.apk there.
3Allow the install
Your phone will show a message saying it is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source. This is normal.
Tap Settings on that message. Turn on Allow from this source. Then press the back button.
Now tap Install.
Google Play Protect may show one more warning, because the app did not come from the Play Store. Tap More details, then Install anyway.
You can turn the permission on yourself. Pick your phone:
Samsung
Settings → Apps → three dots (top right) → Special access → Install unknown appsFind the app you used to open the file — usually Chrome or My Files — and turn it on.
Xiaomi / Redmi / Poco

Cannot find it? Open Settings and search for unknown. That is the fastest way on any phone.

Smartcric is now on your home screen. Open it and choose a match, the same way you do on the website.
If something does not work
You turned the permission on, but the install is still blocked
The permission belongs to the app that opens the file, not the app that downloaded it. If you downloaded in Chrome but the file opened in Files, you need to allow Files, not Chrome.
Go back to Pick your phone in step 3 and turn on the app you used to open the file.
Your phone says "App not installed"
If you already have an older Smartcric app on your phone, uninstall it first and try again. If you do not have it, your phone is probably out of space. Delete an app you do not use.
You cannot find the file after downloading
Open your Files app and look in the Downloads folder. The file is called smartcric.apk.
